What is Pulse?

• Pulse is a proposition designed to meet the communication needs of the youth in Zambia.
• The Pulse plans are split into voice and data combinations and Data only offers. These offers are very competitive with a variety of price points.
• Pulse offers you lifestyle benefits that include free night calling, Pulse Buddies, and campus location calling. Ts&Cs apply.
• Pulse also sponsors various events targeted at engaging and empowering the youth including access to product launches.

How do I buy Pulse Offers?

• Subscribe to Pulse by dialing the shortcode *117# and Selecting option 5.
• Pulse bundles can be accessed on shortcodes *117# or *115# and the MyMTN and MoMo Apps.

Pulse Night Calling

1. Only Customers who have subscribed to Pulse will be able to access Night Calling.

2. Night Calling is 60 Minutes and a customer is entitled to ONLY one calling night.

3. The 60 Minutes can be used between 00:00hrs up to 04:59hrs.

4. Night Calling will only be applicable to customers who have bought the bundles below;

• Pulse Combo Weekly Bundles (Price Points K10, K15, & K20).
• Data Weekly Bundles (Price Points K5, & K10).
• Data Monthly Bundles (Price Point K100).

5. Night Calling Minutes will only be used for MTN Numbers.

6. Night Calling will only be valid for the duration of the bundle purchased. E.g. If a customer buys a weekly bundle, Night calling will be valid for that week. The same applies to a monthly bundle.

7. Once a customer initiates night calling, they can not use it again on another day.

8. Once the 60mins has been used, the default calling rates will apply.

9. Regardless of the number of bundles bought, Customers will only be allocated one 60 Minute of allocation.

Pulse Buddies

1. Pulse Buddies allows a customer to call 3 registered MTN numbers at discounted rates of 0.22Ngwee per minute.

2. Pulse Buddies is applicable only when a customer has opted into Pulse.

3. Pulse Buddies only works when a customer has purchased any of the bundles below;

• Pulse Combo Daily Bundles (Price Points K2, K5 & K10).
• Pulse Combo Weekly Bundles (Price Points K10, K15, & K20).
• Data Daily Bundles (Price Points K2).
• Data Weekly Bundles (Price Points K5 & K10).
• Data Monthly Bundles (Price Points K100).

4. Pulse Buddies will only be valid for the duration of the bundle purchased. E.g. If a customer buys a weekly bundle, Pulse Buddy calling will be valid for that week. The same applies to a monthly or daily bundle.

5. The additional benefit of having Pulse Buddies is that a customer can change the Buddy numbers.

6. A Customer can register a maximum of 3 Pulse Buddies.

Pulse Campus Locations

Pulse Campus Location Calling

1.Campus Location Calling will be applicable only when a customer has subscribed to Pulse.

2. Campus Location Calling only works when a customer has purchased any of the bundles below;

• Pulse Combo Daily Bundles (Price Points K2, K5 & K10).
• Pulse Combo Weekly Bundles (Price Points K10, K15, & K20).
• Data Daily Bundles (Price Points K2).
• Data Weekly Bundles (Price Points K5 & K10).
• Data Monthly Bundles (Price Points K100).

3. Campus Location Calling will only be valid for the duration of the bundle purchased. E.g If a customer buys a weekly bundle, Campus calling will be valid for that week. Same applies to a monthly or daily bundle.

4. For Campus location calling to work, both parties of the call should be in any of the listed campuses.

5. Campus Location Calling will not work when one party is not in an approved campus location. The default calling rate will apply.

Pulse Terms and Conditions:

1. Customers can subscribe to Pulse by dialing *117# Option 5.
2. Customers who previously subscribed to SpakaLife will be automatically moved to the Pulse Youth Plan.
3. Pulse Buddies, Pulse Night Calling or Campus Location calling will only be applicable when a customer purchases a Pulse Bundle.
4. For customers who are using Pulse buddies and Campus Location Calling, be at the discounted rate of 0.22Ngwee per minute and will take priority for PAYG calls.
5. The Call Per Second (CPS) rate will be the default rate on the Pulse proposition provided the customer is not within a configured campus calling location.
6. All Off-campus calls to MTN and Pulse buddies will be charged at the default CPS tariff.
7. A social media benefit of WhatsApp TEXT only will be capped at 50Mb.
8. WhatsApp Benefit can be allocated on selected Daily bundles, Weekly and Monthly.
9. The social media benefit is only allocated to the first pulse bundle purchase of the day of a particular bundle.
10. A repeat of the same data or combo bundle purchase, will not attract an additional social media allocation.
11. Multiple purchases of different data and combo bundles will result in an accumulation of social media benefit allocations.
12. The Allnet calling minutes will be used to call across networks.
13. Pulse Buddies are restricted to MTN numbers, A customer can have up to 3 Pulse buddies.
14. Night Calling will be accessible between 00:00hrs to 04:59hrs.

Yes, customers can buy these bundles using their Mobile Money currently.

Can I call other networks when I am using these Bundles?
Yes, there are all net minutes and can call other networks.

Can I share my Pulse bundles?
No, the minutes and data can not be shared.

How many times can I buy the offers?
As many times as you want. There is no limit.

Is it a must for a customer to register Pulse buddies?
Yes. Customers can subscribe and purchase these bundles only when they have subscribed to Pulse.

Can I use night calling without an activated bundle?
No, Pulse night calling only works when you have purchased one of the pulse bundle.

What is the benefit of using Pulse Buddies (Family & Friends)?
A customer can call 3 registered MTN numbers at discounted rates of 0.20Ngwee per minute. The current PAYG rate is 0.99Ngwee which means Pulse Buddies is a great discount.

What are the benefits of Campus Location Calling?
All calls from within and across the major campuses/colleges to other MTN numbers are billed at 0.20 Ngwee/minute for those who have opted into the tariff via *117# option 5.
