The Caller Ring Back Tone (Callertunes) service is a service that allows customers to personalize a tone that plays on their incoming calls. Rather than hearing a “tring-tring tune,” their friends, family, colleagues, and rest of their callers will hear a song or a Bible verse or their name or any tone of their choice.

Customers can choose a tone from the categories below:

1. Music.
2. Bible Verses.
3. Comedy.
4. Motivational Tunes.
5. Personalized Names.

How to Subscribe

  • Dial *560# and follow the menu options.
  • Dial 5601 or dial 199 and follow the voice prompts.
  • Dial *560*XXX#, where XXX is any number from 100 to 210, E.g., *560*100#.
  • Text NT space (yourname) to 5601 and follow the prompts to set your name as a Callertune. E.g., Text NT John to 5601.
  • Text FIND space (songname) to 5601 to search and activate a tone.
    E.g., Text FIND Way Maker to 5601.

Yes, you will be charged every time you set a new tone.

5 tones. Once your tone folder is full. You will need to delete some to set new ones.

Yes, simply dial *560# and select Special Caller during your activation journey.

Yes, you can copy someone’s tone by pressing * (the star button) while the tone is playing.

Terms and Conditions

  1. When you sign up for the Caller Ring Back Tone “Callertunes” service, you are consenting to comply with and adhere to the specified terms and conditions (the “Terms”). It’s recommended that you go through these Terms prior to engaging on the service, as they are applicable each time you use it. If you disagree with or cannot accept the Terms, it is advised that you refrain from using the service.
  2. MTN Zambia (“MTNZ”) reserves the right to make amendments to the Terms at its own discretion.
  3. Callertunes will be open to all MTNZ customers.
  4. Subscription to the Callertunes service is free, however setting a tone is chargeable.
  5. Tones automatically renew upon expiry. You can unsubscribe from service by sending stop to 5601 or dialing *560# and following the prompts.
  6. Fallback charging applies as below: (i.e., you will be billed the charges below depending on what you have in your airtime balance) at activation and renewal of 30 days and 60 days pack:
    • 30 days Pack Fallback
      • K1.40 – 15 days pack
      • K0.70 – 7 days pack
      • K0.15 – 1 day pack
    • 60 Days Pack Fallback
      • K2.88 – 45 days pack
      • K1.40 – 15 days pack

  7. Each tone download comes with a bonus i.e., grace period.
  8. A default tone will be set on customer’s accounts who are subscribed to the service but have not set any tone. The Default tone is not chargeable.
  9. Customers subscribed to the service but with no active playing tone will get one reminder SMS message per month to activate a tone or tones.
  10. MTNZ will not be held liable for the tones user’s access on Callertunes.
  11. MTNZ reserves the right to deactivate a user’s account if user violates the terms of using the service.
